I. About TUFE
Tianjin, one of China’s four municipalities directly under the Central Government, is located adjacent to Beijing, just a 30-minute journey by high-speed rail. As the largest port city in northern China, Tianjin is also a city of great historical and cultural significance, an advanced manufacturing R&D base, and a financial innovation operation demonstration zone.
Tianjin University of Finance and Economics (TUFE), established in 1958, covers an area of nearly 1,400 mu (about 933 square meters) and enrolls over 16,000 full-time students. It offers a multidisciplinary range of programs including literature, law, science, engineering, and art, with economics and management as its core. TUFE serves as a municipal key university in Tianjin and an important base for cultivating senior economic and management talents in north China. The university has three first-level doctoral programs and postdoctoral research stations in applied economics, business administration, and management science and engineering, nine first-level master programs, and 15 professional master programs. TUFE has developed a complete education system for cultivating bachelors, masters, and doctors. TUFE has been enrolling international students since 1996. To date, the university has welcomed over 10,000 students from more than 60 countries and regions, including Russia, Kazakhstan, Thailand, Vietnam, the ROK, the UK, the US, and Gabon, to pursue or further their studies.

III. Eligibility
1. Be a citizen of a country other than the People’s Republic of China, under the age of 50 and in good health both mentally and physically;
2. Hold a master’s degree, achieve a minimum score of 180 on HSK Level 5, and possess a certain level of English proficiency.
IV. Application Materials
1. A scanned copy of the passport home page (valid ordinary passport);
2. Scanned copies of the master’s degree certificate and the notarized certificate (graduating students shall provide a pre-graduation certificate issued by their current school instead and submit the required materials after admission);
3. Scanned copies of the master’s transcripts and the notarized certificate (graduating students shall submit their existing transcripts and provide all transcripts after admission);
4. Certificate of HSK Level 5 or higher;
5. Study plan (1,000 words or more): A self-introduction, previous academic experiences, and a study plan in China;
6. Two letters of recommendation from professors;
7. Proof of financial support (bank deposit statement of no less than RMB 50,000 or an equivalent amount in foreign currency);
8. Certificate of No Criminal Record (issued within six months prior to the application submission) ;
9. Foreigner Physical Examination Form (Applicants shall complete the form in Chinese or English and strictly follow the examination items listed. The physical examination result is valid for six months) ;
10. Other relevant materials (award certificates, published papers, completion certificates, employment verification, etc.).
V. Application Process
Applicants are required to submit their materials through the TUFE International Student Service System (https://tufe.at0086.cn/student).
The application portal will be open until May 30.
VI. Costs
Tuition: RMB 30,000 per academic year (including insurance)
Accommodation:
6-month reservation: RMB 840 / RMB 1,260 per month
12-month reservation: RMB 720 / RMB 1,080 per month
Less than 6 months: RMB 40 / RMB 60 per day
